A Memorable Night, Training Updates, & What’s Ahead for Tukapa Rugby!
Hey Tukapa Family,
What an awesome night we had on Monday, hanging out with our friends from CASI! It was such a treat to share in their rich culture. We had an unforgettable time with a paddock of cow on the spit and a river of red wine to wash it down!
Cooking alongside the experts at live-fire grilling was a fantastic experience, and now, I’ve definitely got the travel bug—I’m itching to visit their homeland and see more of what they’ve got to offer.
Rugby Recap
On the rugby front, CASI also gave us a taste of what it looks like to train four times a week for four hours a session. Talk about dedication! Despite that, our boys still managed to pull together some strong phases of play. The highlight of the day came from our Championship-winning Colts—great stuff, lads!

Upcoming Events
We’ve got a full schedule ready to roll, which we’ll release next week, but mark your calendars for Old Timers Day on Saturday, April 12th—that’s Week 3 for our Men’s team, and you won’t want to miss it!
Training Times
Starting Tuesday, we’ll have all squads training on their own, with sessions kicking off at 6pm. Here’s the breakdown:
Senior 3rds: Thursdays at 6.00pm (followed by a debrief upstairs)
Toa Women: Wednesdays at 6.00pm
If you’re keen to play for Tukapa, now’s your time! We’ve got a box of boots to donate, so come on down, grab a pair, and join the best club in Taranaki!
Darts Night
We’re kicking off Darts Night on Monday, March 17th! It’s a fun evening with a mix of darts players and rugby folks, so swing by for a fizzy or two and some laughs every Monday starting at 6.00pm.
